Sowing and reaping
There is an absolute law in the universe that is true for all of us regardless of race, creed, color, culture or religion– and it is that you get what you give.
Do good, and good will come back to you. Do bad, and bad will come back to you. The Bible calls it sowing and reaping: Whatsoever thing a man sowest that shall he also reap.
Luke 6:38 says: “Give, and it shall be given to you. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt to you in return.”
2 Corinthians 9:6 also makes the point. “ Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
Matthew 7:12 confirms that this principle is in fact a law: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”
Luke 6:31 says make it part of your daily strategy for living: “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”
Eccles 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters and after many days . it will return unto you.” That’s how it happens. One day when you least expect it, all the stuff of yourself that you’ve been giving out, throwing into the ocean of life– all the love, all the hate, the good or the bad, the right or wrong– is going to come rushing back into your life, and you will reap exactly what you have sown.
